WASTED
By Kae Tempest • Directed by John O’Neill
Three friends. One night. A lifetime of things left unsaid.
Ted, Charlotte and Dan have been best mates since school. They’ve shared nights out, bad decisions, big dreams and the messy business of growing up. But somewhere along the way, life got in the way.
Now, on the night of the summer solstice, they come together again. Kae Tempest’s WASTED is a raw, funny and fiercely poetic exploration of friendship, love, loss, ambition and the fear of wasting your life. Set against the pulse of a generation coming of age, it asks what happens when the future you imagined starts to feel further and further away.
Every performance will feature a different Manchester-based spoken word artist, bringing their own voice and poetry before the show.
Ovid’s Metamorphoses / Pool (No Water)
The Marauders Theatre Company return celebrating the 20th anniversary of Mark Ravenhill’s seminal work, ‘Pool (No Water)’, paired with modernised Greco-Roman myths exploring hubris, vengeance, and jealousy.
Single Use
A thoughtful and hilarious one-woman comedy about climate guilt, emotional avoidance, bad first dates and plastic recycling following sell-out runs at Pleasance Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe.
Verbose MCR
One of Manchester's longest running spoken word events, Verbose brings together a vibrant mix of live literature from poetry, prose, and open mic performers.
