Tea With Violet is the story of Violet Kray mother of Ronnie and Reggie Kray the notorious East-end gangsters, and the police woman she befriended

Set in 1966 George Cornell is dead shot at point blank range at the Blind Beggar pub in Whitechapel . A witness claimed someone resembling Ronnie Kray was seen arguing with Cornell shortly before his death. Inspector Pauline Brake is looking for Ronnie and visits Violet’s home.

And so begins a most unusual friendship and Pauline’s regular appointment to have Tea With Violet.
