“If
there’s something you’re really passionate about, there’s no point in
doing it half arsed. You have to put all your effort into it, otherwise
things will never turn out the way
you want them to.”
Just Good Friends is
a brand
new, one act play, written and performed by third year actors at The
Arden School of Theatre, located in the centre of Manchester. Taking
place in real time, Just
Good Friends follows
the story of two unlikely university friends; Harry, an introverted,
hard-working Taurus, and Megan, an extroverted,
easy-going Libra, and explores what it means to care for someone, as
well as the struggles of opening up and letting go of inhibitions,
through music, dance, laughter and sadness. Oh, and a McDonald’s
Takeaway. However, with ulterior motives possibly at play,
as well as long forgotten secrets and non-truths being brought to the
surface, the entire relationship between these two university students
may be in the balance.
Starring Ben Malone as Harry and Sydney Martin as Megan (yes just like the Royal Couple), Just
Good Friends, written by Ben Malone, will take you on a journey of happiness, sadness, embarrassment and betrayal, and make you
appreciate some of the small things in the world that make life worth living.
