The Kings Arms

The treatment: A new play, written by Michael Bryceson, focuses on the relationship between father and his son, Charlie, except that the father is dead. When he gets his terminal diagnosis, he looks at what is important in life, ultimately deciding it’s his family. We follow Charlie’s life through key moments and how his Dad helps him through them, with letters. Exploring love, loss, life and everything in between, follow Dad, Charlie, Mum and Sam through the turmoils and happiness, ups and downs that come with simply growing up.
Content warnings would be: discussions of death, grief, sickness and loss. Representations of death and some use of strong language.
