PRESS RELEASE: VERBOSE MONDAY 29th Sept 2025, KINGS ARMS SALFORD, 7.30PM

One of Manchester’s longest running spoken word events, Verbose, returns on Monday 29th September 2025 at the Kings Arms.

Verbose has a proud history of bringing together a vibrant mix of live literature from poetry, prose and everything in between. Verbose welcomes new talent to the open mic alongside established writers and performers wanting to showcase new material, giving audiences the chance to hear work that is on its way to be published or perhaps feature at festivals including Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe and many more.

Over the years Verbose has hosted writers who have since gone on to win local, national and international awards for their work or feature on national radio and beyond. A night that offers any audience a chance to see an incredible array of talent month in, month out.

Introducing our headliners for September

Cooper Robson!

In 2008, a Spike Milligan anthology and the tiny book of Che Guevara sat beneath a Christmas tree. At this moment, a little left-wing left-field loudmouth was born.

Combining hard hitting poetry and side splitting comedy, coopsie_xoxo loves chatting bollocks. Winner of the Geet Muckle Slam 2023, 3rd at the England Slam Championships 2023, and 2nd runner up at FeltNowt NAOTY, Cooper has a trophy that says ‘good at using his mouth and that’ (ask ya ma).

With more meter than Mo Farrah, more nonsense than a sapling touching Tolkien-tree, and spouting more shite than a government coastal policy, Cooper Robson is a gobshite from Heaton.

Loll!

Loll is an alternative spoken word artist hailing from Manchester.

She is opinionated, rhymes a lot and is ready to grip you with her unique rhyming patterns and emotion filled pieces.

She prides herself on her strong stage presence and will take any compliment in the form of a j20 or a packet of nuts.
